(Houston, TX/January 31, 2011) Whether Americans like to admit it or not, we all have a bit of the hopeless romantic in our hearts. With love in the air, Americans find it irresistible to flaunt their affection. Jim Trippon, CPA and one of America’s foremost authorities on the money habits of self-made millionaires, has released his ultimate Valentine’s Day gift list to astonish your significant other this holiday season.

According to the National Retail Federation (NRF), Americans are expected to spend an astounding $15.7 billion this Valentine’s Day compared to $14.1 billion in 2010. This year retailers are not only focused on gifts for the loving couples but also gifts for co-workers, friends and even our furry little companions. The one fact has remains the same is men are still targeted to spend more this holiday season. That’s right ladies, NRF estimates that men will spend twice as much a women on those special little items for their loved ones.

Overall, consumers are ready to spend 11% more this year, and for those of you who are looking to go above and beyond Jim Trippon has created an unbelievable list.

Here is Trippon’s Ultimate Valentine’s Day Gift List for 2011

1. Streets of Monaco – $1.1 billion

   

   The Streets of Monaco yacht is modelled on a section of Monte Carlo. This 500-foot yacht will feature a go-kart track on deck inspired by the Monaco Grand Prix, as well as reproductions of the Hotel de Paris, La Rascasse and the Loews Hotel. It’s being designed by Yacht Island Design of Derbyshire County in England and will accommodate 16 guests and 70 crewmembers.

2. Stuart Hughes iPhone 4 Diamond Rose Cover – $8 million

   

   

   Hughes has recreated the antenna band that wraps around the sides of the iPhone 4, as well as the backplate, using rose gold. The band is decorated with 100 carats of flawless diamonds, and the Apple logo is formed with fifty-three more diamonds. The home button is the star with it’s rare 7.4-carat pink diamond. The phone comes in an imperial pink 7-kilogram chest cut from a single block of granite and lined with nubuck top-grain leather. It also comes with an 8-carat flawless diamond that can be used in place of the pink one.

3. Baldacchino Supreme – $5.5 million

   

   Lacquered, patinated and sponge batted bed and canopy, curved and 107 kg of solid 24ct along with small decorative applications in gold leaf detail, headboard in capitonnè. Structure is all in chestnut wood and curving (100% handmade) are ash wood. Fabric is Italian silk and cotton with no burn certification. Headboard can be customized with diamonds or other different stone that customer can wish.

4. The Twin Beach Island – $2.5 million

   

   The island is a uniquely-shaped 216 acres is located in Palawan Province. 6. Shipwrecked 1907 Heidsieck – $275,000 per bottle

   

   This hundred year old bottle of Champagne from the Heidsieck vineyard in Champagne took over eighty years to reach its destination. Shipped to the Russian Imperial family in 1916, a shipwreck off the coast of Finland caused this champagne to be lost at sea until divers discovered over 200 bottles in 1997. They are now being sold to wealthy guests at the Ritz-Carlton hotel in Moscow.

7. Patek Philippe Men’s Calatrava – $66,200

   

   Reminiscent of Patek Philippe’s iconic 1940′s and 1950′s chronographs, this 18k yellow gold, 39 mm. case houses a brand new movement, caliber CH 29 – 535 PS. The classic column wheel chronograph movement is created entirely in-house and bears the Patek Philippe Seal. A rare, pulsometric scale (stop the chronograph after 15 pulses and you can immediately read the pulse rate) is featured on the silvery opaline dial alongside a central chronograph hand and a 30- minute elapsed time counter.
